Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cornwall
Contract: 8 months
Start: ASAP / Negotiable
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support large-scale energy infrastructure and substation projects, working on projects up to 400kV.
You will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients to manage costs, risks and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Manage all commercial aspects of projects from inception through to final account.
• 
  Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events and payment applications.
• 
  Manage cost control, CVRs, forecasts and financial reporting.
• 
  Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• 
  Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
• 
  Manage and negotiate variations and Compensation Events.
• 
  Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• 
  Provide commercial support and guidance to junior team members where required.

Requirements

• 
  Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• 
  Strong practical knowledge and experience of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• 
  Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• 
  Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
