This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Investigate quality issues using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys and Root Cause Analysis.
- Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal process and product audits.
- Work closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
About You
- Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Experience with quality tools including 8D, FMEA, SPC and Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Supplier Quality experience.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP or CMM inspection.
- Experience within heavy engineering, fabrication or precision manufacturing.
