Quality Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Investigate quality issues using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys and Root Cause Analysis.
• Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct internal process and product audits.
• Work closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
• Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.

About You

• Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience with quality tools including 8D, FMEA, SPC and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Desirable

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Supplier Quality experience.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP or CMM inspection.
• Experience within heavy engineering, fabrication or precision manufacturing.
