Project Management Officer - Energy Infrastructure


Location: Brussels, Belgium
Contract: Full-time project assignment

The Opportunity


Our client is looking for a Project Management Officer to support a Grid Development team working on the future evolution of Belgium's high-voltage electricity network.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading organisation within the energy sector and contribute to projects supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and reliable energy infrastructure.
You will work alongside experienced grid development professionals, supporting project coordination, reporting, data management and operational activities across a portfolio of strategic infrastructure projects.

The Role


As Project Management Officer, you will provide essential support to the Grid Development team across planning, reporting, coordination and data management activities.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the organisation and administration of Grid Development meetings, including:
    • Scheduling meetings
    • Managing agendas
    • Recording actions
    • Following up on outstanding items
  • Preparing presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, network partners and approval committees.
  • Supporting data management activities using Excel and Power BI, including:
    • Data linking
    • Filtering
    • Reporting
    • Data quality improvements
  • Assisting with high-level workload planning across the Grid Development team.
  • Supporting project documentation, including:
    • Scope documents
    • Budget preparation for long-term studies
    • External stakeholder requests
    • Process improvements
    • Document formatting and quality control
  • Providing general coordination support to Grid Development professionals.

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting projects, programmes or technical teams.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Immediate availability.

Technical Skills


Essential:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly:
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Word


Desirable:

  • Experience working with data reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience in project coordination, PMO or business support environments.

Languages

  • Fluent written and spoken Dutch required.
  • Fluent written and spoken French required.

  • Based in Brussels.
  • Office location: Léon Monnoyer Quay, Brussels.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in Belgium.
