Hydraulic Pipefitters

We are recruiting for experienced Hydraulic Pipefitters to join an established marine and engineering business in Glasgow on a permanent basis.
This is a hands-on role focused on the installation, assembly and fitting of hydraulic pipework from 10mm to 42mm, working from engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble hydraulic pipework from 10mm to 42mm.
• Cut, bend, form and prepare pipework for installation.
• Fit hydraulic tubes, pipework, valves, fittings and associated components.
• Work from engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and specifications.
• Measure and set pipework accurately to required dimensions.
• Install hydraulic systems into machinery, vessels and fabricated assemblies.
• Carry out pressure testing and identify potential leaks or installation issues.
• Ensure pipework is correctly routed, supported and secured.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and safety.

Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Hydraulic Pipefitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Pipefitter or Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience working with hydraulic pipework, ideally 10-42mm.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic fittings, valves and associated components.
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
• Good understanding of pipe preparation, bending, fitting and installation.
• Marine, shipbuilding, defence or heavy engineering experience would be advantageous.
• Relevant mechanical or hydraulic qualifications are desirable.
