Designer - High Voltage (HV) As-Built

Mission Overview

Join an exciting project with one of Belgium's leading companies in the energy transmission sector.
Our client plays a key role in supporting the reliability and sustainability of the electricity transmission network in Belgium. As part of an ambitious energy transition programme, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of a sustainable, reliable, and future-proof energy infrastructure.
Working alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and project teams, you will help ensure that critical engineering documentation accurately reflects the final installed infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

As an HV As-Built Designer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing and updating engineering drawings following project completion, ensuring they accurately reflect the final High Voltage (HV) As-Built configuration in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
• Processing and following up on requests to update As-Built drawings based on redline mark-ups and feedback from field technicians.
• Performing quality control on HV drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the quality and consistency of As-Built documentation.
• Participating in post-engineering handover meetings and site review sessions where required.
• Ensuring assigned tasks are completed within agreed project schedules.
• Applying established HV drafting methodologies and contributing to continuous improvements alongside other engineering disciplines.
• Managing the archiving, documentation, and administrative maintenance of engineering drawings and associated metadata.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Designer or CAD Drafter.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexible, proactive, customer-focused, and able to work independently.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and a practical, solution-oriented approach.

Desirable Experience

The following would be considered an advantage:

• Previous experience producing High Voltage (HV) engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of As-Built documentation processes within the electrical transmission or utility sector.
• Experience using ProjectWise.
• Technical knowledge of high-voltage transmission networks.

Languages

• Fluent French is required.
• Dutch is considered an advantage.

Location

Créalys, Gembloux, Belgium
The role will involve working both from the Créalys office and at high-voltage substation sites as required.

Eligibility

Candidates requiring sponsorship must already possess:

• A valid Belgian work permit authorising employment.
• A valid Belgian residence permit permitting them to live and work in Belgium.
