  • £70000 - £80000 per annum
  • Dublin
  • Permanent

We're working with a leading contractor delivering some of Europe's largest data centre and mission-critical projects and are looking for an experienced CSA Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team.

This role sits at the front end of major projects, where accurate estimating, commercial awareness and technical understanding directly influence project success. You'll work closely with estimators, quantity surveyors, engineers and construction teams to develop competitive tender submissions for large-scale developments across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

The position would suit an experienced CSA Estimator looking to work on more complex projects, or a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the estimating and pre-construction side of project delivery.

The Role

You'll be responsible for preparing detailed Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) estimates, helping to develop bid strategies and cost plans for major construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed CSA estimates and tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, BIM models and tender documentation
  • Producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and quantity take-offs
  • Using CostX for 2D and 5D estimating activities
  • Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Reviewing subcontractor pricing and identifying scope gaps, exclusions and commercial risks
  • Monitoring tender revisions, addenda and scope changes
  • Maintaining accurate pricing information and tender documentation
  • Working closely with construction, commercial and engineering teams to develop accurate project costs
  • Supporting bid reviews, tender presentations and client meetings where required

Why Consider It?

Data centres have become one of the fastest-growing sectors in European construction, with projects increasing in size, complexity and technical requirements.

This role offers exposure to major developments across Ireland, the UK and Europe, working within an established pre-construction team that regularly delivers large-scale mission-critical projects.

You'll be involved early in the project lifecycle, helping shape bid strategy, pricing and delivery planning before works begin on site.

The Person

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Estimating, Quantity Surveying or Pre-Construction
  • Experience preparing Bills of Quantities and detailed construction estimates
  • Strong knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages
  • Experience working on major construction projects valued at €10m+
  • Competent user of CostX for estimating and quantity take-offs
  • Experience using Bluebeam and BIM 360
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tender deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities, advanced technology projects or other large-scale construction environments would be particularly valuable.

Package

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Permanent position
  • Exposure to major data centre and mission-critical developments
  • Projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe
  • Long-term progression within a growing pre-construction function
  • Collaborative and technically strong team environment
  • Opportunity to work on some of the largest construction projects in the market
