Team Leader

The Shop Floor Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supporting daily production activities within an aircraft interiors workshop, with a focus on galley assembly and sheet metal operations. The role ensures efficient workflow, adherence to quality and safety standards, and achievement of production targets. You will act as a key point of contact on the shop floor, driving performance, resolving issues, and supporting continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate daily production across galley assembly and sheet metal areas

• Ensure production targets and schedules are achieved in line with aerospace standards

• Monitor shop floor activities to maintain efficient and compliant workflows

• Conduct daily Gemba walks and ensure workstations, tools, and materials are ready

• Lead or support daily shift briefings and communicate priorities clearly

• Identify, manage, and escalate production or quality issues promptly

• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

• Track performance and take corrective action where targets are not met

• Drive continuous improvement activities across the shop floor

• Coordinate availability of parts, materials, and equipment to minimise downtime
