We're on the lookout for skilled Sheet Metal Workers to join a major long-term defence project - a multi-year opportunity where your craftsmanship will directly support the build of cutting-edge naval platforms.
This is more than just a job - it's hands-on, high-impact work in a fast-paced shipbuilding environment. You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team, shaping complex metal structures with precision and pride.
Location: Glasgow (Potential relocation package)
Salary: £38'622 + up to 33% shift allowance + Overtime rates
Shift patterns available: Mon-Thurs days or nights, 3 day compressed weekend Fri-Sun.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing and installing marine-grade ventilation, HVAC systems, and interior furnishings.
- Install a variety of ventilation systems, including rectangular and spiral ducting
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke metal furniture such as triple bunks, wardrobes, and metal desks
- Read and interpret technical drawings to complete detailed metalwork installations
- Work with a range of tools and materials to shape, cut, and fit metal components
- Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and finish in all tasks
What you'll bring:
- Recognised Trade Papers / Modern Apprenticeship Certificate - essential.
- Experience in large-scale marine, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of SHE, COSHH, and general site safety standards.
- Confidence working in confined spaces or at height when required.
- A strong eye for detail and a pride in the quality of your work.
- All applicants will need to have lived in UK for the past 3 years as a minimum and willing to undergo a Baseline Personal Security Screening (BPSS) to be considered for the role.
