As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a key role in planning and delivering technically diverse survey projects while taking increased responsibility for project execution and supporting the development of colleagues across the team. This opportunity is ideal for either an experienced Surveyor looking to progress into a senior position or an established Senior Surveyor seeking to further develop their career within a modern and progressive organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex survey projects from initial planning through to final issue.
  • Select the most appropriate survey methodologies, technologies, and equipment for individual project requirements.
  • Carry out and oversee site surveys, including laser scanning, GNSS observations, and control network establishment.
  • Process, analyse, and validate survey data to produce accurate CAD drawings, point clouds, and technical reports.
  • Review and approve survey deliverables prior to issue to the wider project and delivery teams.
  • Identify site constraints, access challenges, and project risks, proposing practical and effective survey solutions.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Surveyors to clarify project scopes, manage expectations, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination activities.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of survey standards, workflows, and best practices.
  • Represent the business professionally during client interactions and on-site activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in measured building surveys, topographical surveys, and laser scanning projects.
  • Ability to work independently on site and take ownership of survey delivery.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of modern survey equipment and data processing software.
  • Organised and methodical approach, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with clients, project teams, and colleagues.
  • Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members through knowledge sharing and guidance.
  • Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for innovation, new technologies, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexible approach to travel and working hours in line with project requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
