Are you an experienced Senior Project Planner looking for your next opportunity within a major construction and engineering environment?

We are recruiting for an experienced planner to join a growing project delivery team in Dublin, supporting the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary construction projects.

This is a key role within the project team, responsible for developing and managing detailed construction programmes, monitoring progress, identifying risks and providing clear, accurate information to support effective project decision-making.

The Role

As Senior Project Planner, you will work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Construction Managers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects remain on programme and potential issues are identified early.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed construction programmes from design, commercial and project information.
  • Managing and maintaining integrated project schedules.
  • Working with Project Managers and construction teams to develop realistic delivery programmes.
  • Supporting programme negotiations with clients and main contractors.
  • Producing S-curves, histograms, trackers and progress reports.
  • Labour-loading programmes and monitoring planned versus actual performance.
  • Measuring and validating weekly project progress.
  • Producing weekly look-ahead and retrospective schedules.
  • Monitoring labour productivity and earned versus spent man-hours.
  • Identifying programme risks, delays and potential roadblocks.
  • Providing early warnings and supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Working closely with Commercial Teams to align programmes with project budgets.
  • Supporting integrated planning across multiple disciplines and workstreams.
  • Presenting programme updates to project and construction teams.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior planners where required.
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve planning processes and project performance.

About You

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially aware planner with:

  • 5+ years' experience in project planning or construction planning.
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience developing and managing construction programmes.
  • Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent planning software.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with labour loading, progress measurement and productivity tracking.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and reporting skills.
  • Confidence working with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, construction teams, clients and contractors.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Experience within data centres, MEP, building services, pharmaceutical, industrial or major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
