Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage site health and safety in collaboration with the project team and Safety Advisor, including the setup and close-out of safety documentation.
  • Oversee project quality assurance processes, including QA documentation and handover.
  • Manage project programmes and schedules in line with client requirements and project milestones.
  • Control project costs, including labour, materials, plant, equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, monitoring progress, manpower, and programme compliance through regular review meetings.
  • Manage snagging, inspections, and project close-out activities, including punch lists, O&M manuals, safety files, QA files, and final accounts.
  • Produce weekly internal and external progress reports, highlighting project status, risks, delays, and completion percentages.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure all subcontractor documentation is current and compliant.
  • Prepare weekly safety statistics and labour forecasts.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to manage change control, variations, costs, and programme impacts.
  • Attend client, design, planning, coordination, engineering, and project review meetings.
  • Support the development and implementation of project procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out any other duties associated with the successful delivery of the project.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 9 years' experience in a Project Manager or similar role within engineering or construction.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, commercial management, and site operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety and quality management processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
