Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and incident investigations across all active sites in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
  • Drive EHS performance improvement through proactive risk assessment, behavioural safety initiatives, and continuous monitoring.
  • Liaise with senior management, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a strong safety-first culture.
  • Review and approve project-specific EHS plans, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and safety documentation.
  • Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and briefings for site personnel and contractors.
  • Champion sustainability and environmental initiatives including waste management, emissions reduction, and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead EHS reporting and KPI tracking at group level, ensuring full visibility across departments and projects.
  • Represent the business in EHS audits, pre qualification meetings, and industry awards.


Qualification:

  • Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essential; Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a senior EHS role within construction, M&E, or industrial engineering environments.
  • Proven track record managing safety across complex installation projects involving generators, HV systems, fuel infrastructure, or critical M&E packages.
  • In-depth knowledge of EU construction regulations and health & safety legislation.
  • Experience with multi-country project delivery and cross-border regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
