Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international engineering organisation on a major data centre project in Finsterwalde, Germany.

This is a senior commercial position with genuine responsibility and influence. You'll take ownership of the electrical commercial function, working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Manager, client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Full commercial and contractual management of the electrical scope
• Acting as a key commercial interface with the client and project stakeholders
• Managing electrical subcontractor procurement and commercial performance
• Cost control, forecasting, margin analysis and cashflow management
• Managing subcontractor valuations, variations and final accounts
• Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and payment applications
• Managing change control, variations and commercial claims
• Reviewing contractual correspondence and identifying commercial risks
• Negotiating and agreeing changes with the client and supply chain
• Producing accurate commercial reports and forecasts
• Driving successful and timely final account agreement

We're Looking For

We're looking for a Senior Electrical QS with a strong commercial background and experience delivering major engineering or construction projects.

You'll ideally have:

• Significant experience within electrical contracting or M&E engineering
• Experience working on data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical or life sciences projects
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and supply chains
• Strong experience with valuations, variations, change control and final accounts
• Excellent cost forecasting and reporting skills
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
• A proactive and commercially astute approach
