Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading international engineering organisation on a major data centre project in Fredericia, Denmark.

This is a senior project engineering position with responsibility across the full electrical lifecycle - from design review and technical development through procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading electrical engineering activities across the project
• Reviewing designs, identifying gaps, deviations and technical issues
• Working across LV and MV electrical systems
• Preparing and managing technical submittals
• Managing technical approvals, RFIs and design queries
• Supporting electrical equipment procurement and vendor management
• Coordinating with BIM teams to ensure designs are constructible
• Providing technical support to site installation teams
• Conducting electrical system walkdowns
• Supporting testing and commissioning activities
• Managing specialist vendors during commissioning
• Compiling test packs, FTOPs and O&M documentation
• Supporting client training and final handover
• Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and supply chain partners
• Mentoring project engineers and graduate engineers
• Providing technical input into design management and pre-construction activities

We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• 7+ years' electrical project engineering experience
• Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Strong LV/MV experience
• Data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or major commercial project experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
• Experience with ETCI, BS 7671, EN and IEC standards
• Experience with technical submittals, design reviews and technical assessments
• Strong client, vendor and contractor management experience
• Experience with electrical installation, testing and commissioning
• Excellent technical problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to lead, influence and mentor other engineers
• Strong organisational and project management skills

Experience with Amtech, DIALux, AutoCAD 2D, Adobe Pro and MS Office would be advantageous.
