Systems Design Engineer - Motorsport

We are supporting a prestigious motorsport client in their search for an experienced Systems Design Engineer to join their high-performance engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of motorsport technology, playing a key role in the design, development and validation of critical vehicle systems that directly influence on-track performance.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with multiple engineering departments, suppliers and build teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions from concept through to testing and race support.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, specify and develop vehicle systems, including cooling, steering and fuel systems
* Produce detailed 3D CAD models and assembly drawings using CATIA V5
* Support system testing and validation, including the design of required test jigs and rigs
* Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to develop new designs and solve complex engineering challenges
* Support vehicle and test car builds, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues where required
* Create and maintain technical documentation and systems libraries
* Work closely with suppliers to define, develop and deliver engineering systems, supporting manufacturing and resolving technical issues

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering (or similar)
* 6+ years' experience working in a comparable high-performance engineering environment
* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and vehicle systems
* Proven experience with CAD (CATIA V5 preferred)
* Experience with PLM systems (Windchill preferred)
* Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
* Fluent English required
