The Senior Mechanical Construction Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical works on large-scale projects. The role ensures mechanical systems are delivered safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities on site

  • Develop and implement construction strategies, schedules, and sequencing plans

  • Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA, and other disciplines

  • Manage subcontractors, site teams, and resources

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental requirements

  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems

  • Review and manage progress against programme and cost targets

  • Resolve technical and construction issues as they arise

  • Interface with clients, consultants, and senior project stakeholders

  • Support project reporting and risk management activities

Requirements & Qualifications


  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

  • Extensive experience in mechanical construction management on large-scale projects

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical building services systems

  • Proven leadership and team management capability

  • Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards

Desirable


  • Experience on mission-critical, data centre, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects

  • Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation

  • Experience delivering projects through full lifecycle to handover
