The Senior Mechanical Construction Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical works on large-scale projects. The role ensures mechanical systems are delivered safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities on site
Develop and implement construction strategies, schedules, and sequencing plans
Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA, and other disciplines
Manage subcontractors, site teams, and resources
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental requirements
Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems
Review and manage progress against programme and cost targets
Resolve technical and construction issues as they arise
Interface with clients, consultants, and senior project stakeholders
Support project reporting and risk management activities
Requirements & Qualifications
Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Extensive experience in mechanical construction management on large-scale projects
Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical building services systems
Proven leadership and team management capability
Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards
Desirable
Experience on mission-critical, data centre, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects
Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation
Experience delivering projects through full lifecycle to handover
