We're looking for a Deputy Manager to ensure the organisation consistently meets and exceeds regulatory standards (CAA, EASA, FAA Part 145 & Part 21). The role involves oversight of audits, training, competencies, and safety procedures to maintain compliance and drive operational efficiency.

Job Purpose

  • To carry out all day-to-day regulatory services with responsibility for ensuring the organisation meets or exceeds the necessary regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Working with, and reporting through, the Head of Safety, Compliance & Quality, liaising with a range of clients and wider business units to drive efficiency and growth.

Part 145 / 21 Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Report all compliance and safety issues to the Head of Safety, Compliance & Quality or the Accountable Manager (in their absence).
  2. Ensure the quality of workmanship in final products meets organisational and regulatory body standards.
  3. Maintain competence of all personnel by keeping records and establishing training and continuation training programmes through the Training and Compliance Manager(s), using on-the-job instruction and evaluation examinations.
  4. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with regulations by auditing all organisational functions and sites.
  5. Ensure all employees are familiar with and fully understand company procedures as laid down in all documentation.
  6. Act as deputy during the absence of the Head of Safety, Compliance & Quality.
  7. Ensure all administrative duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications / Demonstrate

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Part 145 (CAA, EASA, FAA) & Part 21 regulations
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools
  • Commitment to high-quality performance
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

Experience

  • Supplier relationship management
  • Aviation industry experience
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and commercial awareness
  • Professional telephone manner

Hours of Work & Salary

  • Full Time: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 08:00-17:00 (1 hour lunch)
  • Annual Leave: 20 days + 8 UK Bank Holidays
