Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Surveyor, Client Delivery Manager, and Project Delivery Team to identify the most suitable technologies and efficient methodologies for successful project delivery in line with client specifications and programme requirements.
- Carry out all surveying and technical activities in accordance with company quality standards, health & safety procedures, and project requirements.
- Take ownership of allocated project elements, including logistics coordination, while contributing to the successful delivery of all project phases.
- Deliver completed survey outputs to the Lead Surveyor in a high-quality, client-ready format.
- Manage project data throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company procedures from data capture through to final delivery.
- Provide proactive updates on project progress to the wider team, ensuring deadlines are achieved and project costs are controlled within budget.
- Coordinate effectively with on-site project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior surveyors in developing their technical knowledge and practical experience, while providing feedback on performance to the Lead Surveyor.
- Maintain flexibility to support operational requirements, including occasional night work and travel away from home.
- Undertake additional reasonable duties as required to support project and business needs.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
- Approximately three years of general surveying experience.
- Practical experience in laser scanning.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and professional approach.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to resolve issues efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Strong understanding of IT systems and software applications.
- Flexible approach to work locations and working hours.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in topographical surveying.
- Experience in measured building surveys.
- Relevant qualification in Surveying and/or Civil Engineering.
- Access to a suitable personal vehicle to support project logistics.
- Experience using N4ce, Cyclone, and AutoCAD software.
