Quantity Surveyor

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major data centre project in Austria. This is a high-value, fast-paced construction scheme focused on groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) frame delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a flagship international project, working alongside a highly skilled delivery team within one of the most in-demand sectors in construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle of groundworks and RC frame packages
• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Procurement of subcontractors, including tender analysis and contract negotiation
• Administration of subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and identify risks/opportunities to ensure financial targets are met
• Work closely with site and project management teams to ensure efficient project delivery
• Maintain strong relationships with consultants and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks and RC frame projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, FIDIC, or similar)
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Experience working on large-scale or high-value construction projects
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
• Willingness to work in Austria (EU work rights or ability to travel required)

Desirable:

• Previous data centre project experience
• Experience working on international projects
• Relevant degree or professional qualification (Quantity Surveying or similar)
