A leading European engineering and construction organisation is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major project in Paris.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality professional with a strong inspection and surveillance background who is used to working across large, multi-disciplinary construction projects and managing quality from installation through to final handover.
You'll work closely with the project Quality Manager, construction teams, vendors and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered right first time, meet project specifications and are fully documented.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the Quality Manager with project quality objectives and strategy.
- Reviewing vendor and subcontractor quality documentation.
- Reviewing Inspection & Test Plans and quality deliverables.
- Carrying out contractor, vendor and internal quality audits.
- Inspecting and surveilling mechanical, electrical, pipework and structural works.
- Managing non-conformances and corrective actions through to close-out.
- Reviewing work packs, test packs and project deliverables.
- Monitoring testing, inspection and certification requirements.
- Producing weekly/monthly quality reports and KPI information.
- Managing quality issues through Autodesk BIM 360.
- Supporting project benchmarks and Right First Time initiatives.
- Supervising quality aspects of communications contractor installations.
- Ensuring quality documentation is complete for project handover.
- Chairing and attending quality and construction meetings.
We're looking for:
- 5+ years' experience on large multi-disciplinary projects.
- 10+ years' inspection/surveillance experience overseeing vendors and subcontractors.
- Strong experience across mechanical, electrical, pipework and structural steelwork.
- Experience with mechanical equipment, welding, testing and CE marking.
- Strong work pack and test pack experience.
- Experience managing NCRs and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience with quality processes and procedures.
- Strong understanding of the Right First Time approach.
- Data centre/mission-critical experience would be highly advantageous.
- Modular construction and preservation experience would be beneficial.
