The successful candidate will create executable production plans that consider capacity, material availability and customer delivery requirements, while also supporting continuous improvement across planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise materials and issues across Goods In, Stores, Dispatch, Purchasing and Engineering
- Liaise with Purchasing to confirm material availability and quality of supply
- Control material traceability throughout the shop floor
- Raise, manage and close Works Orders in line with MRP
- Review and action MRP exception messages
- Work closely with Operations to support sales forecasting and site planning
- Maintain MRP parameters in line with company policies
- Communicate proactively with Customer Services regarding updates, issues and resolutions
- Work within a cross-functional team to meet customer and delivery targets
- Support regulated manufacturing traceability requirements, such as aerospace or medical manufacturing
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a production planning, materials planning, manufacturing planning or supply chain planning role
- Strong working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems
- Experience raising, managing and closing Works Orders
- Good understanding of material availability, WIP, inventory control and production schedules
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Stores and Customer Services
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial
