This opportunity is aimed at engineers who want to work at the cutting edge of motorsport powertrain design.

You'll be joining a specialised engineering environment focused on the development of high-performance internal combustion engines for competitive racing applications. This is a contract position, offering an immediate start, with the potential to transition into a permanent role in the future.

You'll take ownership of critical engine components and systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver performance, reliability, and innovation under demanding timelines.


The Role

  • Design and develop high-performance ICE powertrain components and systems
  • Convert early concepts into detailed 3D designs and assembly-ready solutions
  • Support simulation and analysis activities to validate performance and durability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions
  • Manage component development from initial design through manufacture and final assembly
  • Drive multiple design activities in parallel within a fast-paced motorsport environment
  • Contribute to design reviews and continuous technical improvements
  • Improve and evolve design tools, methods, and workflows

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years' experience in powertrain design within automotive or motorsport environments
  • Experience working on prototype or race-spec internal combustion engines
  • Strong CAD skills and familiarity with PLM systems (CATIA / Teamcenter experience beneficial)
  • Exposure to simulation, calculations, or analytical validation methods
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing techniques and materials
  • Interest in future ICE technologies, including alternative fuels and hydrogen concepts
  • Structured, analytical, and creative problem-solving approach
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in performance-focused teams
  • Strong communication skills and fluent professional English
