Key Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed work instructions relating to paint finishing and polishing.
  • Complete all station tasks to the required quality standards and within set timescales.
  • Carry out exterior polishing using the correct materials, tools, and methods.
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure a flawless finish with zero defects.
  • Perform flattening, polishing, and touch-up operations as required.
  • Support problem-solving activities relating to quality, cost, or productivity.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure correct disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organised working environment and take care of tools and equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience within an automotive or similar manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and a clear focus on quality.
  • Able to follow established processes and work to defined timescales.
  • Confident using polishing tools, materials, and associated equipment.
  • Experience inspecting finished surfaces and identifying any defects.
  • Familiarity with flattening, polishing, and touch-up processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, modern OEM environment.
  • Experience maintaining and cleaning equipment is beneficial.
