Mechanical Fitter

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to service, maintain and repair a range of plant and workshop equipment in the field. You will work from home and cover sites within approximately a one-hour radius, giving you an autonomous and flexible working structure.

You will be provided with a fully expensed company vehicle, and a food allowance when working on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on various plant and workshop equipment

• Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repairs

• Produce clear and accurate quotations for customers

• Complete job reports and service documentation after each visit

• Maintain tools, van stock and equipment in line with company standards

• Deliver a high level of customer service on site

What we're looking for

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Strong mechanical experience in a relevant industry (plant, agricultural, HGV, construction, material handling, or industrial equipment)

• Experience with fault finding, repairs and maintenance

• Ability to work independently in a field-based role

• A full UK driving licence

Hours of Work

• 40 hours per week

• Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
