Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a busy manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and equipment through planned maintenance and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Maintain and repair a range of equipment, including:
    • Overhead cranes and jibs
    • Plasma and gas cutting machinery
    • Sawing and drilling equipment
    • Welders and grinders
    • Forklifts and side loaders
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
  • Organise and supervise subcontractors where required
  • Work independently and take ownership of maintenance tasks

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
