We are recruiting for an experienced Group Low Voltage Electrical Instructor to join a leading international engineering and construction organisation delivering some of Europe's most complex and high-profile projects.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Authorised Person who is passionate about electrical safety, technical excellence and developing people. You will play a key role in delivering Low Voltage Electrical Safe Principles training, supporting operational teams across Europe, and helping to drive world-class electrical safety standards throughout the business.

Working closely with Commissioning, Operations, Quality, Health & Safety and Digital teams, you will be responsible for developing technical competency, auditing best practice and ensuring electrical safe systems of work are consistently applied across major engineering and commissioning projects.


The Role

Reporting to the Group Commissioning Support Manager, you will lead the delivery and continual improvement of the company's Low Voltage Electrical Safe Principles training programme.

This is a varied position combining technical instruction, mentoring, auditing and operational support. You'll work with Authorised Persons throughout their development, deliver practical and classroom-based training, support live projects across Europe and contribute to the ongoing development of electrical safety procedures and commissioning excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Competency Development

  • Deliver engaging classroom and practical Low Voltage Electrical Safe Principles training.
  • Develop, review and continuously improve technical training materials.
  • Assess delegate competence through practical and theoretical assessments.
  • Mentor and support Authorised Persons throughout their development.
  • Coordinate certification and maintain accurate competency records.
  • Produce training reports, KPIs and competency data.
  • Deliver electrical safety awareness sessions across operational sites.

Training Coordination

  • Plan and schedule training programmes alongside operational requirements.
  • Manage training facilities, equipment and course resources.
  • Coordinate delegate communications and logistics.
  • Maintain training databases and reporting systems.
  • Update competency records and support Power BI reporting.

Project Support & Compliance

  • Visit live construction and commissioning projects across Europe.
  • Support newly qualified Authorised Persons on site.
  • Conduct audits of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage electrical procedures.
  • Verify compliance with company Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Complete digital audits using the Commissioning Digital Environment (CxDE).
  • Provide technical guidance to operational teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support the development of electrical safety procedures and standards.
  • Assist with improvements to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE) processes.
  • Work alongside Digital Transformation teams as a CxDE Super User.
  • Contribute to company-wide electrical safety initiatives and best practice.

Reporting

Produce regular reports covering:

  • Training delivery and attendance
  • Competency development
  • Candidate progression
  • Compliance performance
  • Continuous improvement opportunities

About You

We're looking for an experienced electrical professional who combines outstanding technical knowledge with excellent communication and coaching skills.

You will ideally have:

  • Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Recognised Authorised Person accreditation.
  • Train the Trainer qualification (QQI or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person.
  • Extensive experience with Low Voltage and Medium Voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safe systems of work, isolation procedures and testing.
  • Experience within construction, commissioning or industrial environments.
  • Excellent presentation and training delivery skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Europe.
