Purpose:
To perform, supervise, and certify avionics maintenance activities during scheduled C-check inspections on Boeing 777 aircraft, ensuring compliance with EASA regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out and certify avionics and electrical maintenance tasks in accordance with approved maintenance data (AMM, CMM, IPC, wiring diagrams).
- Perform detailed inspections, functional testing, fault diagnosis, and rectification of aircraft avionics systems (e.g., communication, navigation, autoflight, instrumentation).
- Supervise and support unlicensed engineers and technicians, ensuring tasks are completed safely and correctly.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with EASA Part-145 requirements and company MOE procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation, CRS entries, and technical records.
- Identify and report defects, discrepancies, and potential safety hazards.
- Coordinate with B1 engineers and other departments to ensure efficient check progression.
Scope of Work (C-Check Specific):
- Extensive system testing and zonal inspections.
- Wiring inspections, bonding checks, and connector condition assessments.
- Avionics bay inspections and equipment replacements as required.
- Implementation of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and modifications.
- Troubleshooting complex intermittent and deferred defects.
Requirements:
- Valid EASA Part-66 B2 License with Boeing 777 type rating.
- Recent experience on wide-body aircraft maintenance, preferably heavy checks.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics systems and digital troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and wiring schematics.
- Human Factors and EWIS training (current).
