Job Title: Hydrographic Specialist
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Location - Poland - Gdansk or Leba
Role Objective:
You will join a Geoscience Construction Management team, working closely with colleagues to oversee survey operations, analyse geospatial data, and collaborate with installation managers throughout construction activities. The team values accuracy, collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hydrographic survey expertise in accordance with Polish legislative requirements
- Review, accept, and manage installation contractor procedures related to survey and geoscience activities
- Review, accept, distribute, and manage progress and final as-built survey datasets
- Procure and manage data acquired by an internal survey support service, including bathymetric and sub-bottom surveys
- Provide expert input on ground conditions to support installation works
- Review project documentation, method statements, reports, and positioning requirements related to subsea and sub-seabed installations
- Manage QA/QC processes for pre-, during-, and post-installation surveys
- Interface across installation packages as construction activities progress
- Own residual risk management related to UXO during construction
- Deliver selected handover reports from Construction into the Operations & Maintenance phase
Working Arrangement
- Office-based role in Łeba or Gdańsk, with occasional offshore vessel visits
- 5-day working week, 8 hours per day, with flexibility for additional hours as project demands
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Hold a Polish Hydrographic Category A Surveyor's licence
- Have experience in hydrographic surveys and offshore construction works
- Demonstrate a proactive, structured approach and experience interfacing with design, engineering, and installation teams
- Thrive in an international environment and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Be bilingual in Polish and English
- Hold GWO Basic Offshore Safety certificates
