Join a Leading Airport Engineering Team as an HGV Engineer
Are you an experienced HGV Engineer or Heavy Vehicle Technician looking to take your skills into a fast-paced, secure, and rewarding airport environment?
Join a market-leading engineering business maintaining and repairing vital Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used to keep aircraft moving safely and efficiently.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of heavy-duty airport vehicles and GSE equipment - from tugs and tractors to loaders and de-icers - ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service, maintain, and repair heavy airport vehicles and ground support equipment to high standards
* Perform scheduled mechanical and electrical PPM activities
* Complete service reports and job documentation accurately
* Liaise with internal teams to support smooth turnaround operations
* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and airport regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Engineer, HGV Technician, or similar heavy vehicle mechanic
* HGV Class 1 licence (ideal)
* City & Guilds in Motor Mechanics or equivalent qualification
* 5 years' checkable work history to obtain an airside pass
* Ability to pass CRC and complete GSAT training (provided in-house)

- Base salary £47,047.50 + £500 London weighting
* Shift allowance (4 on, 4 off):
- £3,000 (06:30-18:30)
- £3,500 (11:30-23:30)
