Groundworker

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Operative / Groundworker to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundworks and civil engineering duties on site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Carry out general groundworks and civil operative duties on site.
• 
  Excavation, trenching, ducting, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
• 
  Assist with installation of utilities, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure.
• 
  Operate safely in line with site Health & Safety procedures.
• 
  Work effectively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines.
• 
  Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• 
  Ensure all PPE is worn and maintained correctly at all times.

Essential Requirements

• 
  Valid NG Person certification.
• 
  Manual Handling certificate.
• 
  Previous experience working as a Groundworker / Civil Operative.
• 
  Strong understanding of site Health & Safety procedures.
• 
  Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• 
  Full PPE required before attending site.

Desirable Skills

• 
  Additional plant tickets or utility experience advantageous.
• 
  Experience working on utilities or infrastructure projects preferred.

Rate

• 
  £28.00 per hour
