We are seeking an experienced FEA Engineer with a strong background in motorsport structural analysis to join a high-performance engineering team within Europe's elite motorsport sector. This is a permanent, on-site position offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of vehicle design and innovation.
About the Role
As an FEA Engineer, you will play a key role in the structural development and optimisation of race car components, working closely with design, materials, and performance teams. You will be responsible for conducting advanced finite element analysis (FEA) on metallic, composite, and plastic structures to ensure strength, stiffness, and durability across a range of applications.
This position offers a hands-on engineering challenge in a fast-paced environment where precision, performance, and reliability are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural and modal FEA on components and assemblies for motorsport applications.
Analyse and optimise designs using materials such as aluminium alloys, carbon composites, and engineering plastics.
Interpret results, identify weaknesses, and propose design improvements.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure analysis outcomes are effectively implemented.
Ensure compliance with performance targets, weight constraints, and regulatory standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation methods, workflows, and best practices.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years' motorsport FEA experience (5+ years preferred).
Proven experience with metallic, composite, and plastic materials analysis.
Proficiency in Hyperworks, Ansys, or comparable FEA tools.
Strong understanding of load cases, boundary conditions, and mesh optimisation.
Background in structural and fatigue analysis within high-performance environments.
Ability to interpret CAD models and engineering drawings.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Passion for motorsport and precision engineering.
