Facility Lead

We are looking for an experienced Facility Lead to support the day-to-day operation of a busy engineering workshop, ensuring a safe, efficient and well-maintained working environment. This role is responsible for managing workshop equipment, tooling, consumables and facilities, while promoting high health and safety standards and supporting continuous improvement across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of engineering workshop facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage the servicing, maintenance, calibration and repair of workshop equipment and tooling.
• Control workshop assets, consumables and stock levels to support uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and compliance with relevant quality standards.
• Deliver regular health and safety briefings and support risk assessments and safe working practices.
• Monitor facility budgets and support cost control for workshop operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing efficient processes and 5S principles.
• Work closely with engineering, logistics and workshop teams to ensure smooth operational performance.
• Support emergency response initiatives, including First Aid and Fire Warden responsibilities where required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience managing engineering workshop or manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, workshop operations and equipment management.
• Experience working within an engineering, automotive or manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Good understanding of business systems and quality processes.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
