We are currently seeking an experienced ELV Package Manager to join a major data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.
This is a senior site-based position responsible for managing the delivery of the Extra Low Voltage (ELV) package, working closely with the wider project management, engineering and construction teams.
You will take ownership of the ELV scope from installation and coordination through to snagging, commissioning, documentation and final handover. The role will involve managing specialist subcontractors, coordinating resources and materials, monitoring programme progress and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and quality are maintained throughout the project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ELV professional with a strong construction or M&E background to work on a major international data centre project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete ELV systems package from installation through to handover.
- Oversee day-to-day ELV site operations and coordinate activities with the wider construction team.
- Manage specialist subcontractors, monitoring progress, manpower and productivity against programme requirements.
- Coordinate ELV works with electrical, mechanical, CSA and other project disciplines.
- Attend site, engineering, planning, coordination and handover meetings.
- Monitor project progress against the agreed programme and identify potential delays or constraints.
- Produce weekly internal and external progress reports.
- Manage ELV package costs, including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, equipment, variations and valuations.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure resources are available in line with the construction programme.
- Maintain accurate records of labour, subcontractor hours, deliveries and project expenditure.
- Drive a strong health, safety, quality and environmental culture across the package.
- Work closely with the project safety and QA teams to establish, manage and close out relevant project documentation.
- Manage the in-progress snagging and punch-list process, ensuring issues are distributed, tracked and closed.
- Maintain a weekly photographic record of project progress.
- Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure O&M manuals, QA documentation, safety files and other project deliverables are completed.
- Support final account settlement and overall project close-out.
About You
The successful candidate will have a proven background in ELV, electrical, mechanical or M&E construction, with experience managing significant installation packages or projects.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment and coordinating multiple subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
A trade background combined with strong practical construction knowledge would be highly advantageous.
Essential Requirements
- Trade qualification and/or relevant engineering or construction qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing or coordinating large-scale installation projects.
- Strong ELV systems knowledge.
- Experience working with an M&E contractor or within a major construction environment.
- Previous experience managing specialist subcontractors.
- Good understanding of construction Health & Safety requirements.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Good commercial awareness, including costs, variations and valuations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Fluent English.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict project deadlines.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience on data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Experience managing ELV packages on major M&E developments.
- Knowledge of security, communications and associated building systems.
- Experience coordinating ELV interfaces with mechanical and electrical services.
- Experience with project QA/QC and safety documentation.
- Strong construction sequencing and installation knowledge.
- Previous international project experience.
