The Role

As an Electrical Fitter, you'll be responsible for the installation, wiring, and testing of electrical systems on bespoke aircraft refuelling vehicles and related equipment.

This is a hands-on position working on a variety of complex electrical assemblies. Full training is provided, giving you the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge within the aviation refuelling sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical wiring, assembly, and installation on refuelling vehicles and equipment

  • Work from electrical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate builds

  • Fit and connect control panels, lighting, sensors, and electrical harnesses

  • Perform electrical testing and fault finding during and after installation

  • Collaborate with mechanical fitters and design engineers to meet project specifications

  • Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and Health & Safety procedures


Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical fitting, wiring, or panel assembly (preferably within vehicle, machinery, or equipment manufacturing)

  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings

  • Competent in fault finding and electrical testing

  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices

  • Full UK driving licence


Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on special-purpose vehicles or HGVs

  • Knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic control systems

  • Background in aviation or ground support equipment (advantageous but not essential)
