Are you an experienced EHS Advisor looking for your next opportunity within a major construction and engineering environment?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHS professional to join a high-profile project in Frankfurt, supporting the delivery of a complex, large-scale construction programme.

This is a site-based role where you will play a key part in maintaining and improving Environmental, Health & Safety standards, working closely with project management, construction teams, subcontractors and clients.

The Role

As EHS Advisor, you will provide practical, professional EHS guidance across the project, helping to ensure that safe working practices are embedded throughout every stage of construction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across the project.
  • Providing EHS advice to project teams, subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety walks.
  • Identifying hazards, unsafe behaviours and areas for improvement.
  • Supporting accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
  • Monitoring corrective and preventative actions through to close-out.
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and EHS training.
  • Monitoring project EHS performance, KPIs and trends.
  • Supporting compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements.
  • Auditing site welfare and wellbeing arrangements.
  • Working closely with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Supporting project start-up and ensuring EHS requirements are established from the outset.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice.

About You

We are looking for an experienced EHS professional with:

  • 3+ years' construction industry experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in an EHS/HSE/SHE role.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction, engineering, industrial or data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
  • Experience conducting inspections and audits.
  • Experience supporting incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management abilities.
  • Good IT and reporting skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.

Qualifications

Relevant professional EHS qualifications are essential. Additional training such as the following would be highly advantageous:

  • Auditor Training
  • First Aid
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Train the Trainer
  • Manual Handling Instructor
  • Fall Arrest Inspector
  • SVSM or equivalent

Experience working within the German construction environment and knowledge of relevant German EHS legislation would be a significant advantage.
