Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) packages on large-scale hyperscale data centre projects.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents to build detailed cost estimates across all civil and architectural elements.
  • Engage with the pre-construction team to assess project requirements and develop bid strategies that align with company capabilities and commercial goals.
  • Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to support pricing accuracy.
  • Produce detailed BoQs, take-offs, and cost breakdowns for internal review and client submission.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure consistency between pre-construction estimates and live project execution.
  • Attend tender clarification meetings, technical reviews, and bid interviews with clients and main contractors.
  • Support value engineering exercises and suggest innovative solutions that improve cost efficiency or buildability.
  • Track historical cost data to inform benchmarking, pricing trends, and future tender strategies.
  • Prepare risk and opportunity assessments for each tender package.
  • Assist in handover of successful bids to the project delivery team, ensuring clear communication of scope, cost assumptions, and client expectations.


Qualification:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a civils estimating role, ideally with a subcontractor involved in large-scale, fast-paced construction.
  • Strong knowledge of CSA works, particularly in relation to civils fit-out and structural packages within data centres or high-tech industrial builds.
  • Proven ability to build accurate cost models and develop competitive bids under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in estimating software
  • Commercially aware with a strong grasp of construction methodologies, procurement practices, and contractual frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional pre-construction team.
