CSA Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CSA Engineer to join a major data centre project in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and coordination of allocated Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages, working closely with the CSA Manager, Project Manager, design consultants, subcontractors and client representatives.
This is a broad project delivery role covering site management, design coordination, programme, QA/QC, health and safety, subcontractor management, commercial control and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate allocated CSA packages from delivery through to completion.
- Coordinate CSA works with other project disciplines and site teams.
- Manage CSA subcontractors and monitor progress, resources and performance.
- Review drawings, technical submissions and construction information.
- Identify design gaps, technical issues and coordination requirements.
- Manage CSA programmes and monitor subcontractor performance against baseline.
- Coordinate material deliveries in line with the project programme.
- Monitor QA/QC requirements and manage inspections, snagging and punch-list close-out.
- Support site health and safety requirements and maintain project safety documentation.
- Monitor variations, delays and other events with potential commercial impact.
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier tender packages and technical assessments.
- Prepare weekly progress reports covering programme, labour, materials, procurement and key risks.
- Attend site coordination, planning, engineering and client meetings.
- Support project handover and close-out, including QA files, safety files, O&M manuals and final documentation.
Requirements
- Engineering or Construction Management qualification.
- 5-10 years' relevant construction or engineering experience.
- Proven experience coordinating and managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Civil, Structural and Architectural works.
- Experience managing subcontractors and construction teams.
- Knowledge of construction programmes and project controls.
- Experience with QA/QC and health and safety procedures.
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
Previous data centre or mission-critical construction experience would be highly advantageous.
