Role Overview
An urgent requirement has arisen for an experienced C&I Engineer to support the SVIP project, with a focus on instrumentation and SCADA design. This is a hands-on design role requiring strong technical capability in developing instrument loop diagrams, block cable diagrams, and supporting wider control system design activities.
You will work closely with an existing engineering team, contributing to key deliverables within a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed instrument loop diagrams in line with project standards.
- Produce block cable diagrams for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- SupportSCADA and control system design, including:
- Input/Output (I/O) schedules
- Control philosophies
- System architecture development
- Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration.
- Ensure all design work complies with relevant industry standards and project specifications.
- Review and validate technical documentation and drawings.
- Provide technical support during design reviews and project meetings.
- Work to tight deadlines to meet urgent project requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or HNC/HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in C&I design within infrastructure, utilities, energy, or similar sectors.
- Strong experience producing:
- Instrument loop diagrams
- Cable block diagrams
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems and control system design principles.
- Experience with I/O schedules, control philosophies, and system architecture.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and best practices (e.g., IEC, BS standards).
- Proficiency in engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).

Working Arrangements
