The Electrical Construction Manager will be responsible for leading all electrical aspects of a large-scale data centre construction project, from mobilisation through to completion and client handover. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems, exceptional leadership, and the ability to deliver high-performance results in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.


Key Responsibilities


Project Leadership & Execution


  • Lead all aspects of project construction from mobilisation through to completion and final handover.

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed construction schedules and implementation plans, ensuring alignment with project and contractual requirements.

  • Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources in collaboration with site supervisors, engineers, and support functions.

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of works.


Performance & Progress Management


  • Monitor project progress, productivity, and performance using appropriate tools and KPIs.

  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation plans to avoid delays or disruptions.


Team & Subcontractor Management


  • Lead, motivate, and support on-site electrical teams and subcontractors to ensure performance targets are achieved.

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new personnel to maintain workforce capability.

  • Resolve site-level challenges, including coordination issues, performance concerns, and technical queries.


Coordination & Compliance


  • Coordinate closely with internal functions such as EHSQ, HR, and Procurement to ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards and procedures.

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders through regular meetings and reporting.


Project Completion & Continuous Improvement


  • Lead final project evaluation and close-out activities, including documentation, reporting, and lessons learned sessions.

  • Identify opportunities for process and performance improvement across future projects.

  • Perform additional duties as required to support successful project delivery.

Candidate Profile


Experience & Technical Skills


  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing electrical construction works, preferably within data centre, mission-critical, or industrial environments.

  • Strong technical knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, containment, cabling, earthing, and commissioning activities.

  • Proven track record in leading large multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors on complex construction projects.

  • Excellent planning, organisational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction health and safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Relevant electrical or construction management qualification (Degree, HND, or equivalent).

  • Fluent in English (minimum C2 level), both written and spoken.

  • EU citizenship or unrestricted ability to travel and work within the EU.

  • Proficiency in project tracking and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
