We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take a leading role on a major infrastructure project in Enfield, involving the delivery of five bridge structures. The project is one-third complete and requires strong management to coordinate a high-volume workforce and ensure works are delivered to the highest safety and quality standards.
This role is suited to a manager with a strong subcontractor background, proven experience overseeing large-scale civil engineering works, and the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily construction activities across multiple bridge structures.
Manage and coordinate site teams of up to 120 operatives, with a supervisor allocated to each structure.
Lead subcontractor management, ensuring delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality requirements.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance across site.
Chair site meetings and liaise with project stakeholders, engineers, and client representatives.
Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and ensure timely reporting to senior management.
Support QA processes and drive productivity across all work fronts.
Requirements
CSCS card (essential).
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
First Aid at Work certification.
Previous experience managing large civil engineering projects, ideally involving bridges or heavy structures.
Proven background in subcontractor management.
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent desirable but not essential.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Full shift paid (7:30am - 5:30pm, with two breaks).
