Composite Laminator

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Laminating Technicians to join a rapidly expanding composites technology team. This role is critical in supporting the production of high-performance composite components, ensuring exceptional quality standards and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and laminate composite components for road car production
• Prepare, manufacture, and maintain mould tooling
• Perform vacuum bagging processes for composite parts
• Operate mini autoclaves in line with production requirements
• Maintain the highest quality standards across all composite manufacturing activities
• Support the Team Leader in prioritising workloads and coordinating daily activities
• Act as a deputy to the Team Leader when required
• Contribute to the training and development of team members
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with brand standards
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Lead by example and support production operatives across the department
• Assist across all departmental processes as needed
• Deliver work to demanding deadlines within a high-performance environment

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in composites, automotive, or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of composite materials and processes
• Hands-on experience with pre-preg laminating techniques
• Understanding of quality standards and defect identification
• Experience conducting consolidation checks
• Ability to work independently and use initiative with minimal supervision
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals
• Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated practical expertise developed through hands-on experience and training
