In this role, you will commission and test complete emergency power systems, including engines, generators, switchgear, and fuel systems. You will ensure all components operate in line with technical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements to deliver reliable and safe power solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and test emergency power systems, ensuring correct installation and performance
- Conduct structured testing on generators and related systems
- Perform FAT and SAT preparation, execution, and reporting
- Analyse technical issues and implement effective, data-driven solutions
- Operate and configure generator control systems, including automatic switchover and synchronisation
- Verify compliance with relevant standards and project specifications
- Commission urea systems
- Maintain accurate documentation and detailed test reports
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients during installation and commissioning
Requirements
- Qualification as a technician, master craftsman, or engineer in mechanical or electrical engineering (or similar)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commissioning (e.g. wind farms, oil & gas, mobile energy solutions)
- Experience with PLC programming/modification and ComAp systems
- Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, ideally including engines and emergency power or CHP systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within structured processes
- Conversational German and English
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Frankfurt area
- Willingness to undertake further training
