About the Role:
As a Commercial Contracts Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of domestic commercial contracts, from negotiation and execution to delivery and closeout. You will play a vital role in supporting strategic business objectives, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and contributing to winning new work within a complex defence environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiation of contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Manage the full Route to Contract, including bid preparation, proposal generation, and contract agreement
- Oversee contract delivery, amendments, renewals, and closeout, ensuring obligations are met
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including MoD standards
- Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on contractual matters
- Provide regular updates and reporting to senior management on contract status and risks
- Manage and resolve contract disputes in collaboration with legal and other relevant teams
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in commercial contract management within a defence environment
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and agreeing contracts and agreements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with MoD contracting structures (DEFCONs, QDCs) is preferred
What We Offer:
- Salary: Circa £63,000-£68,000 depending on experience
- Company Bonus: Up to 21% of base salary
- Pension: Up to 14% total contribution (employer + employee)
