MANE are currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Stores Coordinator to support the Stores Manager in overseeing the receiving, storage, kitting, and distribution of goods for our Aerospace client in Bedfordshire. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient materials handling and inventory accuracy to support production and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring items are properly packaged and stored on designated racking (heavy lifting required).
  • Generate ERP-based goods-in records, print labels, and scan receiving documentation as needed.
  • Confirm the number of items received and check for any visible damage.
  • Verify delivery notes and goods received against purchase order details, including serial number checks.
  • Accurately pick components from stores based on kit lists for production orders.
  • Allocate picked items to production orders using the ERP system.
  • Safely store and transport kitted components to the production floor.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate stores records in line with company procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with the annual full inventory stock take.
  • Maintain open communication with internal departments regarding goods-in, stock, and kitting activities.
  • Support internal audits and comply with inventory control procedures.
  • Identify daily kitting needs using the ERP system; prepare and issue shop floor data packs under the supervision of the Stores Manager.
  • Operate a forklift truck to load and unload goods (training provided if required).
  • Occasionally collect and deliver items to/from local suppliers.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Stores Manager.

Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computer systems (ERP experience desirable).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and functions.

Desirable:

  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments.
  • Valid Forklift Truck Licence.

Education Requirements

  • GCSEs (Grades A*-C) in English and Maths or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Working Hours

  • Flexi-shift: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
