Job Title: Rope Access Painters
Location: OWF out of Barrow-in-Furness
Start Date: W/C 17th June 2025
Project Duration: Minimum 40 Days (No rotations)
Employment Type: Contract
Project Overview:
We are seeking a team of experienced Rope Access Painters for a Fabric Maintenance campaign on theOWF. This project will involve steel surface hand preparation and coating hand application. Work will be carried out offshore, with oversight provided by an on-site campaign team leader.
Role Requirements:
- 3x Rope Access Painters - Level 1 or Level 2 qualified
- 1x Rope Access Painter - Level 3 qualified
- NACE Inspector Certification - Preferred (at least one team member ideally qualified)
- Candidates ideally to be local to the Barrow-in-Furness area
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surface preparation on steel structures using hand tools
- Apply protective coatings to offshore structures as per project specifications
- Work effectively and safely at height using rope access methods
- Comply with all offshore safety protocols and site-specific requirements
- Collaborate with the campaign team leader and other team members to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid IRATA certification (Level 1, 2, or 3 as applicable)
- Offshore survival and medical certification (valid and up to date)
- Experience in offshore painting and coating application
- NACE certification (preferred for at least one team member)
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices offshore
