Infotainment

In summer 2019 Mane Automotive collaborated with an Automotive giant to build out a team of Senior Research and Development engineers within their Connectivity Development and Operation department. The goal of the client was to create an industry leading, state of the art in-vehicle infotainment and entertainment system.

With the experience of our specialist consultant within the established Automotive sub-division, Mane imparted their knowledge and spotted an opportunity to really make a difference and help this particular car manufacturing giant to source the finest candidates on the market, who would make a positive impact from day one.

Mane used its ever-growing database to ensure a quick and efficient delivery of potential candidates to cater for the time sensitivity of this recruitment project. Other key recruiting activities included targeted headhunting, which involved using market research to identify industry leaders within the infotainment field. This began with recognising which companies were pushing boundaries within this sector, and then highlighting which leaders internally, were the catalyst for its innovation. Attracting these key players to our client was the definitive goal.

The Senior Engineer roles were pivotal in driving the infotainment and in-vehicle experience solution for our client. Key responsibilities and functionality for the engineering roles included overseeing the development of the high-end infotainment head unit and e-cockpit coupled with the build of the connected drive services development, validation and roll out. The responsibilities of the team also extended to leading the expansion of the clients telematic system proposition for all EV projects. The sheer diversity of the team's responsibilities made this a challenging assignment.

However, the infotainment sector is maturing rapidly within Mane’s recruitment function, with a huge focus on networking with emerging talent at all levels. Having a rich and in depth market knowledge, meant the successful recruitment for this role was achieved, much to the delight of the client.  The subsequent result saw Mane awarded the opportunity to recruit additional Advanced Engineering roles, which would expand the clients Electric Vehicle Powertrain team.
