Warehouse Operative

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team at our metal distribution warehouse in Reading. This role involves the safe handling and movement of various metal products, including steel, aluminium, and copper, while supporting day-to-day warehouse operations across receiving, storage, processing, and dispatch.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle, move, and store metal products safely and efficiently

• Load and unload deliveries manually or using basic warehouse equipment

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch

• Support the receiving and inspection of incoming goods

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment

• Follow all health and safety procedures and company guidelines

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar manual handling role

• Comfortable working with heavy and bulky materials (training provided)

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual work

• Full UK driving licence required

• Forklift experience, past or present, is desirable
