This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing aerospace engineering company, supporting production and quality assurance by inspecting high-precision aerospace components.

You will inspect parts processed through the Inspection department, working closely with production and quality engineering teams to ensure timely and effective part verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect parts per company policies, procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection control plans.

  • Use a range of inspection tools including:

    • Calipers, micrometers

    • OGP, CMM (Aberlink Software)

    • Keyence Optical Measuring Machines

    • Hardness testing equipment

  • Perform manual inspection confidently.

  • Raise quarantine documentation when required.

  • Support Quality Engineers and the Production Incident Team with product disposition.

  • Contribute to Quality Clinic activities as needed.

  • Use ERP systems like Jobshop and data collection tools such as Visual FAI.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to resolve quality barriers.

  • Apply best practice inspection methods.

  • Understand and work within ISO9001 / AS9100 quality systems.

  • Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Maximise effectiveness of inspection resources.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in aerospace inspection (essential).

  • Background in a manufacturing environment.

  • Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in inspection.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with inspection techniques and Quality procedures.

  • Experience with Computerised Measurement Solutions (CMS) is desirable.

  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.

  • Ability to independently set up and operate inspection equipment.

  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure.

  • Willing to work weekends/unsociable hours to meet customer demands.
