Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage communications with the client in relation to HVAC project deliverables.
• Oversee and coordinate design management activities.
• Work collaboratively with contractors to ensure all building services align and integrate properly.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for HVAC construction activities.
• Ensure all HVAC deliverables are completed within project specifications and safety guidelines.
• Communicate with the project team to coordinate pipework installation in line with the project schedule.
• Commercially assess and manage the project from handover by estimating through to the procurement of equipment, specialist subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support the management of on-site installation works to maintain consistent quality and drive progress to commissioning and handover.
• Assist with documentation and cost management of any scope changes, and contribute to monthly valuations and preparation of the final account.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the mechanical and electrical contracting sector.
• Strong background in design management.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
