Role Overview:

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This role involves assembling fans and heaters according to engineering drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring all products meet the required quality standards and are assembled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of fans and heaters following technical drawings and SOPs.
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment effectively.
  • Perform quality checks and tests on finished products.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures consistently.
  • Participate in training, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and SOPs.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Experience with small and large system assembly using hand tools.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of assembly tools and soldering skills.
  • Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in aerospace or military sectors (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with traceability, FOD, and PUWER regulations.
  • Basic IT skills and knowledge of 6S principles.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK - please note we are unable to accept spousal visas.
  • Candidates must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Must undergo BPSS clearance
